His wounds have paid my ransom

Hallelujah! He is RISEN! He is risen indeed! Those words bring me so much hope. I am so thankful for Jesus' death on the cross to cover my sins that put him there in the first place, and even more thankful for his victory over death that enables me to overcome those sins through him! I've had Selah's version of How Deep the Father's Love For Us on repeat these last few days. Give it a listen and be reminded of how much our Father loves us, that he sent his Son to save us through His death on the cross!

Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom.

Happy Easter! Remember that we serve a risen Savior! Hallelujah!

hello again

Hello again, world of blogging.

Gosh, it has been awhile since I've posted. I've been doing a lot of blog searching and reading lately... there's something about them that are so exciting to me. I love reading people's ideas and thoughts and seeing how neat of a tool this is to share how God moves in people's lives! Let me tell you, there are some great blogs out there. People are so creative.

I hope to do some serious remodeling in the next couple of weeks -- I really want to get this thing up and running! So please, bear with me as I try to make my way into posting more often!

New York :)

Over spring break I was blessed to have been able to go to New York City on a missions trip! It was absolutely amazing and God continued to show me how amazing He is. Throughout the week we went to soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and did ministry on the streets of NYC. A lot of the activities we did were challenging and pushed me to really step out of my comfort zone and it was awesome to see not only the effect we had on people, but the effect that they had on us. We were unable to take pictures at the places we went to so all the pictures shown are from the days we were able to do sight-seeing.

On sunday we attended Hillsong NYC.. the service was awesome:)

                                                                   CENTRAL PARK!

Time Flies! (and i love Christmas!!!)

wow. time flies, thats all I gotta say. So many things have happened since I last posted.. Lots of homework, studying, movie nights, hanging out with friends, cru activities, job searching, thanksgiving, black friday shopping:), christmas shopping, room rearranging, and most recently.. finals week (although pretty relaxed for me, glad thats over with)! & now im sitting here wrapped up in a blanket watching tv. perfect. i am so looking forward to this month off! who knew my first semester of college would go so quickly?

ohh & lets not forget about Christmas being right around the corner!! this past month of decorating, gift buying, and Christmas music has absolutely put me in the holiday spirit. I've gotta say, Christmas is one of my favorite holidays.. celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ:)

and to finish this off, I have to share this.. I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day - by Casting Crowns. such a meaningful song, plus who doesn't like Casting Crowns, right?

"Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men." -Luke 2:14

If I don't get around to it later.. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!

Procrastination, girl time, music, etc... :)

Stress of the day: Chem test. Once again, I managed to procrastinate studying until an hour and a half before hand. Long story short the test was hard and I probably didn't do so hot. But on the other hand, I feel that more studying would not have made it much easier..
On a positive note though, got to hang out with a bunch a girls at cubby's for supper afterwards. It's great getting a break from school and just having some girl time once in awhile:) But the rest of my week is pretty stress free as far as classes go. Thats always nice..

So I wanna share a couple of things from my day yesterday. First, I was part of an email outreach for Cru. In doing so I discovered a pretty neat site that we included in the responses. Its called Every Student and it just has tons of info on questions about life and God. I encourage you to check it out! There are so many great things to read about.... http://www.everystudent.com/

Also, instead of the normal Cru routine, we had a concert last night! Artist: Danen Kane. SO good. Seriously look him up. His songs are so amazing. Don't worry, I've already got his newest album (Love is Here) on my itunes. I have a feeling this CD is gonna be my current music obsession for awhile. Here is the link for his website: http://danenkane.com/

While I'm at it, I wanted to include a song I was reminded of last night. It's called "Wait For Me" by Rebecca St. James It's about staying pure for your future spouse. Such a beautiful song.

A Blog of My Own:)

I created this blog about a month and a half ago and just never got around to actually write something.. I guess I just didn't really know what to say. But this is it I guess, here I am with a blog of my own. I've always admired people who write blogs and I figured since I have lots of spare time on my hands (outside of homework & classes that is) I might as well do something productive:) I'm not sure what will come of it but I'm sure it will consist of pictures, random thoughts, favorite quotes, movies, Bible verses, and random events. hope you guys will join me in this wonderful little adventure. wish me luck!
